Weirmonken: State of Play

It's been over two years since we first began assembling the Weirmonken playgroup and fleshing out the Shadow. I have to say that in that time, we have been honored to have some of the most fantastic scenes I have had on R2A  occur in Weirmonken or as part of the playgroup. We've come a long way, as a group and as a prop. We've seen our share of hard times, and good, and the time for some decisions are upon us.

This post is to find out what direction the Weir playgroup and the mush would like to see the prop take. Behind the cut you will find some plot spoilers! Stop reading now if you don't want to know things!

Family

"I love my family," Emrys says. "The dead ones more than the living ones."

Disobedience

I feel as if I have let the Weir forget that I am an alpha. I give them orders and they obey only as it pleases them. Arianne is not alone in this attitude.

It. Will. Stop.

Though I walk through the shadow of the valley of death

"Fuck about it sums it up." Altair agrees, shaking his head. "So here we are, in the valley of death, with an unconcious Feldane. Least we've got each other." There's a slight manic grin. "Isn't it nice to have family?"

How Kings are Made

That one would chose one's leader by debate is a foreign concept. That the debate sounded more like the pissing and moaning of infantile boys is even more foreign.  That Corwin had his blade in my father's neck, should it be true, is enough to make him King in my eyes. That father let him do it, begged him to do it, worries me.

I need to find some Scotch.

Take this waltz...

It's a fine dance the Weir are having to play. Torn between the urge to be what we are and having to bow to Amber.  I commend those who are making the transition so well, and worry for them as well. And sometimes, I look in the mirror, and I'm not sure anymore which side I'm on, which me is the real me.

Thank you, Father, for your mixed bag of gifts. Some nights I hope to find you, just to punch you in the nose.
